50th Reunion
An article by Jay Mathews on Will Fitzhugh, Ed.M. ’68, and his campaign to have schools include more nonfiction in their reading lists for students, appeared in the February 22 issue of The Washington Post. Fitzhugh’s article “Meaningful Academic Work” (SchoolInfoSystem.com, Madison, Wisconsin), in which he argues that “reading good history books and writing serious history research papers provide the sort of work which students do find meaningful,” was republished in The Doyle Report (www.schoolnet.com) as a guest column.
